Welcome to the J-Hive website
Welcome to the website for the J-Hive Project, part of the Cultural Heritage and Improvised Music in European Festivals (CHIME), European research project supported by the JPI Heritage Plus programme.
On this site we’ll be documenting the processes and activites of the J-HIVE strand of the wider CHIME project. This will include research into Jazz audiences, with a particular focus on festival engagement and digital technologies.
Our first major activity will take place in May 2016 at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival, where we will be piloting a digital interface that is intended to capture elements of the experience of a group of visitors, festival workers, and artists. More details on that will appear shortly. Planned activities include similar projects at a number of other, European festivals in 2017 and beyond.
Please stay tuned for further updates, and feel free to follow us on Twitter in the meantime.
